“The Compel podcast exists to engage Canadian women with the biblical basis for missions and connect them to ordinary women who are serving around the world and share God’s heart for the nations. Our desire is to come alongside our sisters in this journey, and share how women can be involved in spreading the gospel story to the ends of the earth.”
Lesley Doerksen is a wife, mother to five kids, and a grandma. She’s been excited about missions since she was 10 years old. Growing up on the mission field and later raising her kids overseas, she’s been surrounded by the urgent need of spreading the gospel story. Over the last 23 years, her and her husband, Pete, have had the privilege of serving in Africa and Papua New Guinea in many different support roles. She’s passionate about God’s Word, and discipleship of women. She enjoys drinking coffee, hanging out with people and being active outdoors. Life is short…let’s make it count for Jesus!
Lauren Ducommun is passionate about God’s name being known among the nations, and specifically burdened to see the gospel spread and taught among women in unreached people groups. Lauren and her husband have seen God faithfully directing their steps since they began serving with Ethnos Canada, first in the Canadian training program then in training national men and women in Asia-Pacific. They have two children and are so thankful they get to serve the body of Christ in this way. You can find her on Instagram (@laurenducommun).
