In 1979 Kevin and Wendy Case sensed God moving them to become part of the Mexico field to specifically reach out to a people group. That group became the Northern Tepehuan. Their hope was to see God raise up men and women who loved the Lord and walked with Him through developing friendships and spending time with people. Kevin’s role was learning the Northern Tepehuan language and serving as a Bible translator for the team. Wendy’s role was through hospitality and office work. By God’s grace they have watched people come to know the Lord. The New Testament was completed and made available to the people. Now that they have the Word in their language, we see people growing in their life in Christ. We are grateful they will soon have a digital audio version for their use as well.
Kevin and Wendy now serve with Ethnos360 in the city of Chihuahua, northern Mexico. Their ministry involves evangelism and discipleship among the growing group of Tepehuan who have migrated to the city. They also serve with the local church, Capilla Calvario, and have opportunities to shepherd Ethnos360 missionaries as they arrive on the field through hospitality in their home, through Bible study, and member care. Though officially “retired” there are many opportunities to serve people around them. Ethnos360 and Ethnos Canada are not responsible for funding their ministry and travel expenses. They seek out people who have a heart to partner with them in meeting the expenses for ministry and travel.
