FOOD SERVICES MANAGER, THE HOMES OF ETHNOS360

Location: Ethnos360 Retirement Homes, Sanford, FL

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to oversee a commercial kitchen in the Latham Center. The Latham Center cooks prepare three meals a day for retired Ethnos360 missionaries. The purpose of Ethnos360 is to assist the local church to plant mature churches among the least reached people groups in the world.

Responsibilities: Oversee the nutritional needs of the Assisted Living Facility residents and the independent residents of the Latham Center. Train and supervise the cooks in meal preparation and service. Schedule all full-time and part-time cooks/helpers in the kitchen, including weekends and holidays. Follow the state-approved menu, noting alterations and/or substitutions. Maintain kitchen and dining room food handling procedures in accordance with county and state guidelines. Inform the ALF Administrator or nursing staff on duty of changes or variations in normal eating habits of residents.

    • Have a valid Florida driver’s license. • Experience cooking for 20-30 people is helpful. • The following qualifications can be accomplished at The Homes: Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification; Red Cross HIV/AIDS training or equivalent; Infection Control and Personal Hygiene Certification; Sanitary Food Handling Certification; TB screening; Background screening; ServSafe Certification. • Candidates for this position must be willing to work provisionally in the kitchen as a cook while leadership skills and ability to work as a member of a team are assessed. • A growing relationship with Christ. • This position is open to career and associate members of Ethnos360.

PLUMBER, THE HOMES OF ETHNOS360

Location: Ethnos360 Retirement Homes, Sanford, FL

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to maintain The Homes plumbing. The Homes exists to provide a nurturing and caring environment, attempting to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents, with staff and facility capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Use hand and power tools for facility maintenance. Perform preventative and/or limited maintenance of the above-mentioned tools. Assist in performing plumbing, construction, remodeling, maintenance, and general repairs of buildings.  Other duties as assigned.

    • Have a valid Florida driver’s license. • Practice safety standards for the trades and willingness to keep up with new techniques. • General knowledge of building construction and maintenance. • Knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools. • Be physically fit for hard, strenuous work in hot and humid weather. • Ability to work in a team and to be a self-starter. • Skills to supervise work groups and volunteers in construction and maintenance. • A growing relationship with Christ. • This position is open to career and associate members of Ethnos360.

Electrician

Location: Missionary Training Center

Purpose: In light of the MTC's Purpose Statement, the CTM (Construction / Maintenance Team) contributes to the fulfillment of that purpose by providing--either by maintaining or building new -- sufficient facilities necessary for training, while modeling the training objectives.

Responsibilities: Maintain current electrical systems on campus.  Install new electrical systems for new construction projects.

Dean of Married Students

Location: Ethnos360 Bible Institute, Waukesha, WI

Purpose: The Dean of Married Students position exists to participate in the spiritual growth of the student body, specifically among the married students, in order to see them live their lives in a growing relationship with Christ.

Responsibilities: Oversee and assist the Married Students in student life function and spiritual growth.  Plan formal and informal meetings with married couples. Attend chapels and organize split chapels.  Attend classes when possible.  Organize host couples for new married students and organize any social events for the married students.  Other duties as assigned.

Childcare Assistant Teacher

Location: Missionary Training Center, Missouri

Purpose: 1. Ensure quality care for all kids 2. Assist room leader with care/teaching responsibilities 3. Accountability: Abuse is nearly zero when two unrelated adults are present

Responsibilities:

  2. Assist with planning, preparation, and daily classroom routines.
  3. Communication with kids, lead teacher, parents & Coordinator

Childcare Lead Teacher

Location: Missionary Training Center, Missouri

Purpose: 1. Provide stability, consistency, structured program and healthy environment 2. To engage & encourage kids, parents and co-workers 3. Set the tone and standard for the room, be the main connection between parents and the childcare program

Responsibilities:

1. Care for the children, and partner with parents: each child should feel secure, loved
2. Lead in the daily routines and plan age-appropriate activities
3. Assist with care of the facilities
4. Communication

Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic

Location: Missionary Training Center, Missouri

Purpose: In light of the MTC's Purpose Statement, the CMT (Construction / Maintenance Team) contributes to the fulfillment of that purpose by providing--either by maintaining or building new--sufficient facilities necessary for training, while modeling the training objectives.

Responsibilities: 1. Operate heavy equipment as needed - Excavator, backhoe, lull forklift, tractor, rock saw, skid steer, dump truck, hi reach, bull dozer, track hoe, compactor, and hay baler.
2. Maintain and repair heavy equipment as needed and keep log of scheduled maintenance and repairs. 
3. Guide in buying and selling heavy equipment.
4. Train and approve other for safe operation of certain equipment above and keep displayed updated chart of qualified operators.
5. Demonstrate and follow all safety procedures.
6.Assist with after hour emergencies.

ELECTRICIAN, THE HOMES OF ETHNOS360

Location: Ethnos360 Retirement Homes, Sanford, FL

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to meet The Homes electrical needs. The Homes exists to provide a nurturing and caring environment, attempting to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents, with staff and facility capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Assess, oversee, and perform electrical, structural, and mechanical maintenance and construction.  General maintenance duties may include roofing, siding, painting, concrete work and plumbing. Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Personnel

Location: Ethnos360 Bible Institute, Waukesha, WI

Purpose: To carry out maintenance, renovation, and upkeep of the EBI main building. A well-functioning, safe living environment will significantly contribute to life at EBI as it fulfills its purpose of training believers in the Word of God, which will also directly impact the ministries of Ethnos360 around the world.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs routine and preventative maintenance and minor repairs to the EBI main building and related facilities.

2. Ensures fire protection equipment is properly maintained and up to date in collaboration with the SMT.

3. Conducts routine, non-licensed inspections of facilities including restrooms, dorms, common areas, apartments, etc.

4. Advises the Building Foreman of required major repairs or replacements.

5. Ensures the safety and protection of buildings including ensuring that doorways are not blocked and that buildings and facilities are locked when not in use.

6. Assists with snow removal when needed.

Single Ladies' Dean

Location: Ethnos360 Bible Institute, Waukesha, WI

Purpose: The Dean of Women position exist to participate in the spiritual growth of the student body, specifically among the single women, in order to see them live their lives in a growing relationship with Christ. We desire to help the students practically grow in their relationship to Christ by modeling and communicating how to function in a body of believers. We also desire that they begin to contemplate how they may fit into future ministry with Ethnos360 in reaching least reached people groups, and will encouraging them to pursue that goal.

Responsibilities: Oversees single women's housing in fellowship with the rest of the Student Life Department and Operations. Maintains a general awareness of the overall well-being of students under her care, helping with needs as they arise and giving direction as needed. Oversee and assist the single women in student life function and spiritual growth. Assist in encouraging and leading in the physical and spiritual wellbeing of the single women. Plan formal Meetings: meet at least once a semester with the entire student body. Plan informal meetings: Be available on a daily basis. Make Room checks: Once a week. Other duties as assigned.

Tax Clerk

Location: Home Office

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to aid in the clerical/computer processes of in-processing, preparation and filing of tax returns for members of Ethnos360.

Responsibilities: Tax Return Printing/Distribution
     1. Print Member Tax Returns to PDF format
     2. Email Tax Returns to Member

Tax Return Electronic Filing
     1. Electronically File Tax Returns using Tax Software
     2. Process Form 9325 and Send to Member
     3. Send Confirmation Emails to Member

CHILDCARE WORKER

Location: Durham, Ontario

Purpose: The Ethnos Training childcare program exists to care for the children of our missionary trainees. The childcare team is an essential part of the training program, allowing students to focus on their training and be better equipped to serve as missionaries with Ethnos Canada.

Responsibilities: An Ethnos Canada Childcare Worker is someone who loves young children, works well as part of a team, and serves alongside our childcare teachers by:

  • Assisting with daily activities such as circle/snack/play time. 
  • Cleaning the classrooms that were used in the morning class time.
  • Being flexible and willing to help with the care of children in the nursery, toddlers, or pre-school program.
