Both Cam and Emily are from rural Ontario and grew up in Christian homes where they heard the testimonies of missionaries from around the world. From an early age, they both felt that God was leading them to share the good news of the gospel in a cross-cultural context.
Cam attended Word of Life Bible Institute (Owen Sound, ON & Schroon Lake, NY) before graduating from the Ethnos Canada training program in 2016. He went on to study linguistics at Ethnos360’s campus in Missouri before serving in Colombia for a year in 2019. Emily attended New Brunswick Bible Institute and studied nursing at the University of Western Ontario before serving in Chile with the Gospel Mission of South America. Although they had known each other since high school, Cam and Emily’s relationship began while they lived 4,500 kms apart. In God’s perfect timing, they were married in 2020 in their sending church Mount Forest, ON. While Emily completed the Ethnos Canada training program in 2022, Cam finished his MA in Linguistics and Translation through Trinity Western University.
Cam and Emily moved to Mexico in September 2023 to begin language study. Their goal is to partner with the national church to establish thriving indigenous churches in Mexico through linguistics and Bible translation.
