We first began walking on Filipino soil in 1979.   Our time there began by studying Tagalog (the National Language), followed by a year of working in the Manila office.

In 1981, we moved into the village of Lenga with our two little boys, ages 3 years and 9 months, to live with the Kankanaey People.  Our first project in the village was to build an airstrip so we could travel in and out by airplane, since there were no roads leading to the village.

Soon we were studying the local language and Rocky began teaching God’s Word in 1983.  We were so thankful for the opportunity to share the best news in the world with the people in this village, who were hearing it for the first time.  It was so exciting when the first ones understood that Christ had died for them, paying the price for their salvation.  We are thankful we were able to continue to teach His precious Word there until 1992.

The next few years were spent working in the Manila office – Rocky, the Government Representative and Liz, the Bookkeeper.  That was followed by four years on the flight centre in Northern Luzon, and six years at the NTM Headquarters in England.

Sensing the Lord guiding us back to the Philippines in 2014, we soon were on our way to Asia once more and began creating Bible Curriculum for the Kankanaey believers.  It has been our privilege to work with them for the last 10 years.  Our goal is to continue to make lessons from various books in the New Testament for the believers to use in their teaching.
