Suffering Significant Tragedies

a graveyard in the Arctic

Life in the Arctic can be difficult for so many. The longer we live in the Arctic, the deeper our  understanding of the things people carry with them. Likely not one individual is without a story of grief, trauma, anguish, death, broken relationships, or addiction.

In about a week’s time we heard of three different communities that suffered significant tragedies; a missing teenager (who has yet to be found), two accidental drownings, and three youth (ages 15 and younger) who took their own lives. These devastating situations have our team running to the LORD in prayer. Please join us in  praying for the individuals and communities as they grieve these losses.

The Bible uses the word “living” many times. It references “living hope… living and abiding Word of God… living stone… you yourselves are like living stones…”.  This is a stark contrast to the experience of so many.

Please pray that our lives would be a true reflection of the living hope that dwells within us. Our hearts are burdened to see our friends alive with the living hope that is waiting for them.
