Secondary School History Teachers (Grades 6-8 / 9-12)
Location: International School
Purpose: To provide an excellent, Christ-centered international education that meets the highest academic standards and equips students to live out a biblical worldview in all areas of life to the glory of God.
Responsibilities:
- Creating a learning environment in which each child in the class is enabled to work.
- Instructing the children per the school curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning
- Maintaining discipline within the classroom to enable children to work and learn.
- Maintaining the Christian ethos of the school within the classroom.
- Creating and maintaining a classroom that is aesthetically pleasing and conducive to learning.
- Attending and participating in staff prayer times.
- Attending and participating in regular staff meetings and in-service trainings sponsored by the
- school, or in parent consultations and back-to-school nights.
- Maintaining and submitting weekly lesson plans and assessment plans
- Providing input into curriculum revision and unit plan development
- Keeping records of children's progress as appropriate and providing written reports each term for the parents.
- Agreeing to adhere to any reasonable request made by the Principal or Director.

● Committed evangelical Christian ● Bachelor's Degree in education or Bachelor's degree in the subject taught plus teacher qualification ● Fluent in English ● Educational or experience background in History ● Familiar with Google Office Suite ● Self-Motivated ● Team Player ● Adaptable ● Willing to Learn ● Cambridge Curriculum experience is helpful ● Basic word processing skills
