IT Security and Compliance Officer

Purpose: The IT Security and Compliance Officer is the IT cyber/IT security and compliance subject matter expert (SME) and works in partnership with the IT Infrastructure Director and the Ethnos360 IT Leadership Team in responding to security and compliance related issues and inquiries. This job’s role is to ensure the secure operation of in-house and cloud computer systems, servers, and network connections in accordance with Ethnos360 IT internal processes, procedures, and compliance requirements. Ethnos360 exists to assist the local church in planting mature churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Works to establish and enforce organizational standards related to the organization’s security and compliance of IT resources
  • Researches and drafts security policies and guidelines and brings them to the ITLT for approval
  • Communicates approved policies and guidelines to Ethnos360 departments and centers to make them aware of all security and compliance requirements
  • Works closely with IT staff on specific projects and tasks that relate to security and compliance
  • Stays up to date with IT security and compliance best practices by attending classes, reading publications, joining professional peer groups, etc.
  • Participates in training and staff development activities
  • Performs internal reviews to ensure that all current and new/updated policies and procedures adhere to best practices related to security and compliance
  • Performs or works with third party audit groups to produce risk and technical vulnerability assessments, data classification, attack and penetration analysis, policy compliance and communication with internal teams
  • Completes annual security insurance questionaries and submits the answers to the ITLT
  • Actively participates in daily coordination and remediation of elevated security incidents in the organization
  • Leads coordination and remediation of major security incidents
  • Participates in the assessment of the security of new applications and programs prior to installation, upgrade, or widespread use within the organization
  • Maintains confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Participates in team meetings as required
  • Participates in IT Leadership Team meetings as invited
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of IT

Computer Network and Systems Administrator

Location: City

Purpose: Computers are vital tools for missionaries. You can be a vital part of the missionary team using your skills as a network and systems administrator. Ethnos360 exists to assist the local church in planting mature churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining our office network, consisting of a number of Win 10/11 workstations.
  • Maintaining wireless equipment, network router and modem.
  • Performing hardware and system upgrades, locally and remotely.
  • Maintaining network availability in remote locations.
  • Maintain our office phone system.
  • Maintain our network printers, and help as needed with daily operations.
  • Assisting with communication issues, such as Internet satellite services as well as cellular data connections, cellular phone issues, etc.
  • Assisting, as needed, in maintenance of computer/Internet problems of regional centers.
  • Providing end user technical support in Windows and Mac MS Office as needed.
  • Troubleshooting software, hardware and network issues on workstations and notebooks.

    Honesty and integrity are an absolute must. Personal character is more important than computer skills.

Computer Software Consultant

Purpose: To provide software support to church planting teams. The purpose of Ethnos360 is to assist the local church to plant mature churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: Installation and management of software.  Also, providing consultation when operational issues arise.
