REGISTERED NURSE, THE HOMES OF ETHNOS360

Location: Ethnos360 Retirement Homes, Sanford, FL

Purpose: The Registered Nurse provides services as permitted by law which unlicensed personal care attendants are not permitted to provide. Due to her greater level of training, she provides a higher level of medical expertise and oversight of residents’ general health needs in the ALF than an unlicensed personal care attendant is able to provide.

Responsibilities:

The RN's primary role is that of Personal Care Attendant.  Additional responsibilities that the RN license allows include: 

  • Perform the initial training and updates for ALF staff assisting with medications.  Possibly other initial staff training as well.
  • Instruct personal care staff “in-services” on topics such as personal hygiene, infection control, geriatric care, medication assistance, etc.
  • Oversee the Annual TB screening at NTM Homes to include training nurses, obtaining the script from the doctor and record keeping.
  • Administer medications in accordance with a health care provider's order or prescription label and document all occurrences of medication administration.
  • Communicate with health care professional staff by phone and/or fax regarding new or revised medication orders.  Follow up on medication orders and changes.
  • Manage pill organizers to be used only by residents who self-administer medications.  Instruct the resident in the proper use of the pill organizer.
  • Administer and regulate portable oxygen.
  • Assist with routine colostomy care.
  • Assist and monitor the application of anti-embolism stockings or hosiery.
  • Give prepackaged enemas pursuant to a physician's order.
  • Take or supervise the taking of vital signs along with appropriate documentation.   Maintain a monthly ALF resident record of weight, blood pressure, and pulse rate. 
  • Conduct weekly blood pressure clinic for ALF residents, retirees in independent housing and volunteers.
  • Administer TB tests and read the results of said tests during annual staff TB screening.
  • Fulfill Continuing Education Units as required by law to maintain your professional active RN license.
  • Assist the Administrator in evaluating continued residency criteria.  Decisions about changes, actions or inaction in resident healthcare should be made in conjunction with the other nursing staff.  We like to use the “team” approach in decision making, valuing each member’s input.

Required Qualifications (screenings can be accomplished at The Homes of Ethnos360): Current Level2 background screening (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) Current screening and doctor's verification of being free of communicable disease (including tb) and agree not to work at the facility while in the transferable stage of any communicable disease that might be contracted in the future. TB screening is renewed annually. Current RN license in the state of Florida. Physically assist residents with activities of daily living.

Mission Coach

Location: USA Home Office

Purpose: To assist people interested in ministries that support Ethnos360's church planting efforts both in the US and abroad.

Responsibilities: This ministry involves answering peoples' questions about possible service with Ethnos360 and connecting them to the appropriate personnel.  May involve responsibilities at a yearly orientation.

Lawyer

Purpose: To represent Ethnos360 internationally.

Responsibilities: This person in this position would serve as the General Counsel for Ethnos360 and must be experienced in non-profit law.

Training Team Mentor

Staff Writer/Editor - Ethnos360 Home Office

Location: Home Office, Sanford, FL

Purpose: To communicate both the purpose and the mission of Ethnos360 and to express what God is doing around the world in missions through writing.

Responsibilities:

1. Research and write for the Ethnos360 magazine and other venues as assigned by the managing editor.
2. Acquire photos for stories.
3. Write in a manner consistent with the tone and approach in use by Communications.
4. Edit copy and participate in collaborative editing processes.
5. Proofread products.

Must have a good grasp of the English language, spelling and grammar rules, as well as have a willingness to learn and follow both the Associated Press Stylebook (AP) and the Ethnos360 Style Manual. 2. However, a degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field may be beneficial. Continuing education in related fields is a plus. 5. Experience in writing or editing in a professional capacity is a plus.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE, The Homes of Ethnos360

Location: Ethnos360 Retirement Homes, Sanford, FL

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to maintain the facilities of The Homes of Ethnos360. The Homes exists to provide a nurturing and caring environment, attempting to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents, with staff and facility capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Use hand tools and power equipment for facility maintenance. Perform limited preventative maintenance of the above-mentioned tools. Assist in performing construction, remodeling, and maintenance. Make general repairs of Homes facilities. Supervise teen and/or volunteer workers. As needed, assist in concrete work, preparation for severe weather, setting up for events, and helping residents with small personal projects. Other duties as assigned.

Payroll Manager

Location: Home Office, Sanford, FL

Purpose: Oversee Ethnos360 Payroll and Benefits Team

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Ethnos360 Payroll and Benefits team. As well as working with Ethnos360 Finance office and Member Services to ensure compliance with Ethnos360 policy and state and federal regulations.  
  • Assisting Ethnos360 members with payroll questions and payroll change requests.  
  • Responsibilities also include overseeing Workers Comp Compliance, Parsonage allowance, State and Federal Tax regulation, Monthly Payroll, Member benefits, Ministry Support Levels. 
  • Maintaining policy and procedural manuals as well as Ethnos360 online Payroll Hub.

IT System Administrator

Location: Home Office, Sanford, FL

Purpose: This role is responsible for participating in the maintenance and support of all Ethnos360 on-premises systems and infrastructure. Ethnos360 exists to assist the local church in planting mature churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: This role includes the management and maintenance of primary and secondary datacenters and works to handle issues from both the end users and from internal IT requests.  This position reports to the Director of IT Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify any problems in the system, anticipate potential issues and repair systems and software when necessary
  • As an escalation point for other teams, resolve issues, fulfill requests that come in through the helpdesk ticketing system
  • Monitors and ensures that systems are running optimally
  • Setting up new users and giving them access to the intranet
  • Managing and maintaining the file servers
  • Operating the firewall for the organization 
  • Monitoring the internet connection for security risks
  • Employing the latest security protocols
  • Monitoring the local area network (LAN) for threats or errors

    Preferred having a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related Information Technology field. Experience with Windows Server administration and support. Strong skills in switching and routing, VLAN configuration, firewall configuration. Experience with Office 365 administration and support, VMware, Antivirus software, Backup software, remote management tools and desktop operating systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external individuals. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instruction given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Enterprise Application Developer

Location: Home Office, Sanford, FL

Purpose: This role provides for the development and support of Ethnos360 enterprise systems. Ethnos360 exists to assist the local church in planting mature churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities:

This role serves to develop solutions that the organization needs either through applications/services that Ethnos360 has provided by vendors or through homegrown solution development. This role reports to the Director of Information Systems or designee. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide maintenance and support of current and future enterprise software applications 
  • Performs or works with software vendors to install upgrades, new versions, or new features to enterprise software applications 
  • Works with departments to analyze needs, and then strategically plan for enhancements, upgrades, replacements, purchases, and/or additional tools to improve the service that the Information Systems team provides 
  • Leverages a software development lifecycle approach for software projects by planning, managing and executing projects using project management best practices 
  • Works with departments to ensure continued and expanded use of the enterprise software applications, including implementation and coordination of training 
  • Develop and implement new procedures to enhance system maintenance and troubleshooting for the IT department
  • Monitor event logs, audit tools, system messages and alerts to correctly respond and correct problems or issues 
  • Manage setup, configuration, and overall operation of enterprise software applications 
  • Define and assist in the development of reports needed for users of the enterprise software applications
  • Test all implemented updated and corrections, and assists in the testing of the total program, documenting, in standardized terminology, all procedures used.
  • Develops integrations between software applications to allow for the synchronization of data to allow business processes of the organization to function appropriately
  • Monitor, complete and close helpdesk tickets assigned to you 
  • Leverage technical, business, and financial acumen to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of groups and individuals including IT, Personnel, Advancement, Finance, department heads, software vendors, etc.
